The Small Language Model Consortium (SLM Consortium) is an initiative dedicated to the advancement and betterment of the SLM community. We aim to promote cooperation, research, and development in the field of small language models.

Leadership

More leadership positions will be added as the organization grows.

Currently, leaders are appointed because the organization is still small. In the future, some positions will become elected positions, allowing members to vote for their leaders.

Membership

To become a member, you must be ratified by two-thirds of voting members during a 24-hour voting period.

Sounds difficult? It isn't!

The process is simple:

1. Open a discussion on this README titled "New Member Ratification: [Username]".
2. Members may vote "Ratified", "Rejected", or abstain by simply not voting.
3. To be ratified, you must receive at least two-thirds of the votes cast by voting members in your favor.
4. If you are ratified, congratulations! You will officially become a member shortly afterward.
5. If you aren't ratified, don't worry! You can try again after some time.
