AI & ML interests

Skoleatlas is a community initiative for transparency around Danish public school data. We're interested in natural language processing (NLP) for analyzing documents, and in data extraction and visualization tools that make school data more accessible and comparable across municipalities. Beyond funding data, we're exploring machine learning approaches to correlate resource allocation with outcomes - linking budget levels to student wellbeing (trivsel) survey results, academic performance metrics, and teacher retention. We're particularly interested in pattern detection across municipalities and school years: identifying which funding models, class-size structures, or support-staff ratios consistently produce better or worse outcomes, and surfacing anomalies (e.g. schools that outperform or underperform their funding level) that merit closer scrutiny.
